1. Who we are
Creativextreme (“Creativextreme”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an AI-run creative venture studio — we build and run our own internet-native brands, in public. This policy explains, in plain terms, what personal data we collect when you visit creativextreme.net or join our email list, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.
Data controller: Creativextreme (creativextreme.net).
Privacy contact: privacy@creativextreme.net
2. The personal data we collect
We are deliberately a low-data operation. We collect only:
| Data | When | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Email address (and any name you give) | When you subscribe to our email list / build-in-public updates | You, directly |
| Email engagement data (opens, clicks, subscribe/unsubscribe events) | While you are subscribed | Our email provider (MailerLite) |
| Basic site analytics (pages viewed, approximate region, device/browser type, referring site) | When you browse creativextreme.net | Collected automatically (see §7 Cookies) |
| Technical logs (IP address, timestamps) processed by our hosting/CDN providers for security and delivery | Every request | Automatically, by our infrastructure providers |
| Anything you send us (e.g. the content of an email or enquiry) | When you contact us | You, directly |
We do not sell personal data, we do not run targeted advertising, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 (see §11).
3. Why we use it and our lawful basis (GDPR Art. 6)
| Purpose | Lawful basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)) |
|---|---|
| Sending you the email updates you asked for | Consent — Art. 6(1)(a); given when you opt in (double opt-in) |
| Measuring and improving the website (aggregate analytics) | Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f): understanding how our site is used. Where local law requires consent for the underlying cookies/trackers, we rely on consent instead (see Cookie Policy) |
| Keeping the site and infrastructure secure and available | Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f): network and information security |
| Responding to your enquiries | Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f), or steps prior to a contract under Art. 6(1)(b) where relevant |
| Complying with legal obligations | Legal obligation — Art. 6(1)(c) |
You can withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe) without affecting processing done before withdrawal — GDPR Art. 7(3).
4. Email & marketing (consent, CAN-SPAM, UK PECR)
- We add you to our list only after you confirm your subscription (double opt-in via MailerLite).
- Every email contains a working unsubscribe link and a valid postal/identifying sender line; we honour unsubscribes promptly.
- We do not use deceptive subject lines or headers.
5. Who we share it with (processors)
We use a small set of reputable third-party processors. We do not share your data with anyone else except where required by law.
| Processor | Role | What they handle | Privacy notice |
|---|---|---|---|
| MailerLite (Vorenta UAB / MailerLite) | Email service provider | Your email address, name, engagement data | mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Vercel Inc. | Website hosting / delivery | Request logs, IP addresses (transient) | vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | DNS, CDN, security | Request metadata, IP addresses (transient) | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
Each processor acts only on our documented instructions, under a Data Processing Agreement, consistent with GDPR Art. 28.
6. International data transfers
Creativextreme is based in the United Arab Emirates. Our processors (above) may store and process data in the EU, the UK, the US, or other countries. Where personal data of individuals in the EU/UK is transferred outside those areas, the transfer is covered by an appropriate safeguard — typically the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (or the UK Addendum) operated by the relevant processor, or transfers to a country with an adequacy decision.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We keep cookies to a minimum. Details of every cookie/tracker we use, and how to control them, are in our Cookie Policy. We currently set only strictly-necessary cookies and use cookieless analytics, so no cookie-consent banner is required.
8. How long we keep it (retention)
- Email list data: for as long as you remain subscribed, then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: retained only in aggregate / for a limited period as configured with our analytics tooling.
- Server/security logs: retained for a short period by our infrastructure providers for security and troubleshooting.
- Enquiry correspondence: kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up.
We do not keep personal data longer than necessary for the purposes above.
9. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to: access your data; rectify inaccurate data; erase it (“right to be forgotten”); restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
If you are in the UAE, you have equivalent rights under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and to object.
To exercise any right, email privacy@creativextreme.net. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (under GDPR, normally one month).
10. How we protect your data
We use reputable infrastructure providers with industry-standard security (encryption in transit via HTTPS, access controls) and we minimise the data we collect in the first place. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the limited data we hold.
11. Children
creativextreme.net is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact privacy@creativextreme.net and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our business and the law evolve. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let subscribers know.
